Lemon, Ginger & Turmeric Immunity Tea

A soothing natural tonic for overall health.

Ingredients

2 cups Water

1 inch Fresh ginger root (peeled and sliced or grated)

½ tsp Turmeric powder (or 1 inch of fresh turmeric root)

1 slice Fresh lemon (or 1 tbsp of lemon juice)

1 tsp Raw honey (optional, for sweetness)

1 pinch Black pepper (essential to help the body absorb the turmeric)

Instructions

Boil the aromatics: In a small saucepan, bring the 2 cups of water to a boil.

Simmer: Add the sliced ginger and turmeric. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 5 to 10 minutes. The longer it simmers, the stronger the flavor and benefits.

Strain: Pour the liquid through a fine-mesh strainer into a large mug to remove the pieces of ginger.

Add Lemon and Pepper: Add the fresh lemon slice and the pinch of black pepper.

Sweeten: Let the tea cool slightly (so the heat doesn’t destroy the enzymes in the honey) and stir in your raw honey.

Enjoy: Drink it warm, especially in the morning or when you feel a cold coming on.
