This Taco Bake is a comforting, crowd-pleasing casserole made with seasoned ground beef, melted cheese, and buttery Pillsbury crescent rolls. Perfect for busy weeknights, potlucks, or game day dinners.
🛒 Ingredients (Serves 4–6)
1 can Pillsbury crescent rolls
1 lb (450g) ground beef
1 packet taco seasoning
½ cup water
1 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
½ cup sour cream
½ cup salsa (mild or spicy)
¼ cup chopped onion (optional)
¼ cup sliced black olives (optional)
Fresh lettuce, tomatoes & extra sour cream (for topping)
👩🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Cook the Beef
In a skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat.
Drain excess fat, add taco seasoning and water.
Simmer 5 minutes until thickened.
2️⃣ Prepare Crescent Base
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Unroll crescent dough and press into the bottom of a greased baking dish, sealing seams.
3️⃣ Layer Filling
Spread seasoned beef evenly over the dough.
Spoon sour cream and salsa on top.
Sprinkle with cheese, onions, and olives.
4️⃣ Bake
Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, until crescent dough is golden and cheese is bubbly.
